6 Weird Things About Me
People who get tagged need to write a blog entry of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly! In the end, you need to choose 3 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment on their blog that says they have been tagged and tell them to read your blog. Unless of course, that seems way too much like work.
Six weird things about yours truly:
1.) When I'm writing and I hit a snag, I get up and wander aimlessly around my apartment or go through the material like I'm being interviewed about it.
2.) I have an extremely high pain threshhold. I broke my collarbone completely in half when I was 3 but didn't even cry. I've since broken 3 more bones (at once) without shedding a single tear.
3.) My first job was washing dishes in an Italian restaurant, a job they usually only hired men to do. Not quite the glass ceiling I thought I'd break.
4.) I sometimes start thinking in foreign languages out of nowhere. I've even forgotten how to speak my native language on occasion. Sometimes, I get stuck on a word because I can only remember how to say it in some other language.
4a.) Despite having an extensive vocabulary, if my thoughts get out of sync with my speech, I'll either start stuttering (a speech problem most who know me don't realize I have since it doesn't occur very often anymore) or I'll forget really simple words (never BIG words, just little bitty everyday words like milk or center or square). I call it verbal dyslexia.
5.) During a tour of Europe, I was complicit in smuggling a young South African woman out of France.
6.) I've been to the crater of an active volcano.
Now, by the power invested in me by the blogger that tagged me for this, I hereby tag:
The Duck
Reasonably Prudent Poet
